MATT FLEMING

- Originally a front-man for a band out of his hometown, Old Potato Road, Matt Fleming has found enjoyment and success with a fiery and energetic harp.  He picked up the harp when he became frustrated with the guitar, and taught himself most of what he knows.  Gulf Coast Blues great Paul Orta mentored Fleming on the nuances of the instrument when he was just learning.  After that, Fleming’s classrooms were in front of live audiences in the bars on 6^th Street, the Dance Halls of Texas, and the living rooms of his University of Texas classmates.  Fleming began playing with the TPB after he played with the opening act, Charlie Harrison, one night at La Zona Rosa in 2001.
